Personal Bio
I've been participating with the International Black Summit since 1992. For about 6 years prior to that I had been looking for the "BLACK" people in the transformational, metaphysical, spiritual community. I took courses, attended seminars, became certified to teach a couple of disciplines, etc.

When a white friend and former metaphysical mentor, called and told me "I know where the Black people are." I immediately said, "SIGN ME UP!" I was so happy I didn't know what to do. She told me, "Well, you have to take this course called The Landmark FORUM." Long story short, I did that so I could go to the Summit.

I was so awed being at the Summit that I didn't talk most of the time, partly because I KNEW that if I opened my mouth, I would be "FOUND OUT." (That's how POWERFUL the INTEGRITY was in that room for 2-1/2 days.) And partly because I was OVERWHELMED by the diversity of people present from a maid to a mayor,na bus driver to a CEO; from a small child to a senior; from Africa, Canada, the Carribean and the U.S. I was BLOWN AWAY. SPEECHLESS. (And folks who know me will tell you that's a feat!)

When I returned I was on a MISSION 1). to let as many Black people as possible KNOW about the Summit and 2). to have as many Black people as possible participate. To put BUTTS IN THE SEATS at the 1993 Summit in Oakland, I came home and organized the 1st FORUM for People of African Descent in Chicago, I had the privilege of working closely with Linda Cohran, my local coach and Pat Reid-Porter, one of the founders of the Summit AND wife of the mayor.

During that same time, I was also part of the Summit's 92-93 Enrollment Team (I used to send Grandma Koumba to represent me - I was kinda' shy and scared.) We had a good crowd from Chicago that year and for several years afterwards.

At the end of that Summit in Oakland in 1993 I joined its Facilitator Body and was the first from that body designated Senior Facilitator in 1996. I'm still in the Facilitator Body.

Over the years I've taken on various accountabilities in support of the Summit, i.e. Local Enfoldment Team, Local Enfoldment Manager, International Enfoldment Manager, Co-coordinator, TechTeam, Talkshow initiator and Manager, Communications Team, Web Team, etc.

I'm still on that MISSION, well, at least part of it. What I noticed while writing this is I'm still on part 1) of that mission - to let as many Black people as possible KNOW about the Summit.
