The Dawa or Pharmacy is seen behind me. I was just speaking to a man and son, who when my back was to them, threw rocks toward me. I had asked if I might take their picture- my friend proceeded in picture taking anyway..hence the rocks! I was in Kenya for the Int's Black Summit that year (1996) and working on a self-proclaimed project to bring knowledge and awareness of HIV/AIDS to the people in denial of it's existence!The Sisterwoman AIDS Project.
