- Noël Gaskin graduated from the State University of New York in Old Westbury, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with honors. He became an "ambassador" of sorts as a foreign exchange student in Nairobi, Kenya, and worked with New York City Department of Mental Health, Retardation and Alcoholism Services as a Health-Care-Program-Planner-Analyst.
Noël is a graduate of the Landmark Education Curriculum for Living who has dedicated his life’s work to recognizing the need for social change, and leveraging resources to make necessary changes happen for the betterment of the community. A resident of Brooklyn, New York, Noël has actively served in the not-for-profit and public sectors, in professional roles related to health care and education. Noël is trained in Hatha Yoga (Integral Yoga Institute, New York) and Master Reiki (by Dr. Nan Seedman of the Reiki Institute, New York). Noël is certified in Yoga Anatomy & the Application of Breath-Centered Yoga by best-selling author Leslie Kaminoff at The Breathing Project in New York City; he served as a Yoga Educator, with the Errol Grimes Dance Group, and District 75 schools in Brooklyn, New York. Noël is currently a graduate student in the Educational Communication & Technology department at New York University-Steinhardt.
Noël continues to apply his energies and education to champion a better life for inner-city children and adults with learning, emotional and physical disabilities. He teaches both special education and yoga to New York City High School teens and teachers. Noël advocates for differentiated curriculum for all students to guide their own emotional literacy with the application of new media and wellness practices. Noël is a gifted educator for Brooklynites, on purpose and with a mission to offer balance --on and off the mat-- in a world of complexities.
