This is Indupa Primary School. We found that only 5 girls pupils made it for Standard 8. The 4 holding the sanitary packs were the only ones present on that day and the other one was home because she was very much pregnant and couldnt make it every day to come to school. She was waiting for the examination day to come sit for her exams then wait for the birth of her child. The others are in class 7 whereby you find that in most schools, they are very many in the lower classes but very few manage to the final class since most of them get married off or get pregnant hence drop out while others fear that when they get to the final class, their parents wont afford to pay for their next level i.e secondary school hence drop out to avoid frustrations. This school, with a population of over 400 pupils has less than 10 teachers with only one female teacher. This really affects the schools performance.
